Alex Whiddon
A third-generation builder with deep roots in Austin, Alex Whiddon has been shaping the landscape of residential and commercial construction for decades. His career began with large-scale multifamily projects, including landmark developments such as Riata Apartments for Jerry Jones, Milago Condos, and Shore Condos on Rainey Street. With over 3,000 multifamily apartment homes built for industry leaders like Trinsic, Fairfield Development, and Trammell Crow, Alex has earned a reputation for excellence in high-quality construction and efficient project execution.
Since returning to the Austin area, Alex has built over 100 single-family homes in under 10 years, with his work earning recognition in Architectural Digest. His commercial portfolio includes notable projects such as Ten-O-Five Office Park, Guest House Restaurant, and Oko, a Michael Hsu Design. Inspired by the geometric brilliance of architect I.M. Pei, Alex incorporates lasting, structural integrity into his designs—symbolized by the pyramid in his company’s logo. Beyond construction, Alex is dedicated to supporting his wife’s nonprofit, Sydney’s Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) organization committed to rescuing and rehabilitating homeless cats, ensuring they find loving homes or lifelong care.
